Our Loving Wife / Mother, Carol Lynn Scarborough Cheshire, age 72, of Cleveland, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 from complications of IPF.
She is survived by her loving husband, Walton C. Cheshire, Jr. and her children, Shelly Crider Crumpton / Troy (Eagle Mtn., UT), Shane Crider / Gabrielle (Gainesville, GA), Debra Cheshire Clanton / Brant (Memphis, TN), and Cynthia Cheshire Hollis / Jay (Gillsville, GA); her grandchildren, Tyler Marie Crumpton (18), Preston Crider (14), Zayne Crider (9), Troy Crumpton III (9), Katlyn Hollis (26), and Diana Hollis (14).
Born in Brunswick, GA, Carol was a proud “Class of 1967” Graduate of Towers High School in Decatur, GA and will forever and always be a Tower Titan Cheerleader. She had a huge personality and loved adventures, people, her family, and Her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Carol had a passion and love for children and became an Educator, teaching in both Georgia and Florida. She was also a Cheer and Color Guard Coach, as well as a Dance Teacher for Art Linkletter Dance in DeKalb County, and also worked in the Miss America System and Pageant System for 30+ years.
Carol is also survived by her 2 older brothers, Robert Jay “Bobby” Scarborough / Lee (Snellville, GA) and Cader Roy “Butch” Scarborough III. / Renee (Buckhead, GA) as well as several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cader “Roy” Scarborough Jr (Leesburg, GA) , & Bettie Talbert Scarborough (Stephens, AK).
In Honor of Carol’s wishes, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date TBD.
Friends and Family wishing to honor Carol, are invited to make donations in her name to Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center. Having lived in Panama City, FL for 20+ years and worked with children in this area, this is near and dear to her heart.
