Earl Clifton Bruce of Lula Georgia, lost his brave 42-year long battle with Lowe Syndrome on February 21, 2021. Earl retired to his eternal slumber with his family by his side. Earl is preceded in death by his father Howard Clifton Bruce Jr and his paternal grandparents Howard and Faye Bruce. He attended North Hall High School. Earl was an avid collector of all things John Deere. He was a muscle and antique car enthusiast and a lifetime practicing flirt with the ladies.
Earl is survived by his mother, Marvie Forrester and stepfather Tommy Forrester, sister, Charla Burger, his maternal grandparents, Charles and Hazel Haralson. Uncle, Jeff Bruce (Vera). Aunts, Sue McIntyre (Michael), Susan Nutting, Ricky Crew Haralson (Joanna), Wendy Taffar (Jack), Cindy Carlin-Chis. Nephew and Nieces, Michael, Alyssa and Abby Burger. and numerous cousins.
Earl was an expert judge of quality biscuits and gravy and dearly loved his dog Dixie. All who met Earl would agree he was a good listener and life philosopher. He was known to close family as “Earl the Pearl” and was a genuine Pearl of Life.
There will be an open casket visitation on Tuesday February 23rd at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland Georgia between 5pm and 8pm.
The family desires a Private funeral for family members only. The graveside service will be held at Straightway Baptist Church in Clermont Georgia on February 24th at 2pm.
