Leonard Griffin

Len Griffin 74, of Atlanta Georgia passed away on 01/06/2023. Survivors include his high school sweet heart and wife of 55 years, Hilda Griffin; son, Michael Griffin; daughter, Samantha Griffin; grandchildren Joanna, Rachel, (Kyle), Cory, Evan, Grace and JJ; great grandchildren, Jaxson, Hunter, Ivie and Casen. He was preceded in death by mother, Genevia Griffin; father, Charles Griffin Sr; grandson, Michael “Hunter” Griffin and brother, Charles Griffin Jr. He was born in Atlanta to Charles Griffin Sr. and Genevia Helton Griffin. Graduated from Rosevelt High School. He was proud of his Cherokee heritage. He served in the US Army and a Vietnam veteran after he served as a Atlanta police officer and then became an employee of Delta Air Lines where he retired. He loved teaching his son to fish and hunt. He also coached his son in baseball and was the leader of his sons Boy Scout troop. He taught him to be a great man and father just like him. He was his daughters world, strength and first love. He will be missed by everyone that had a privilege of meeting him. He will be scattered at a private celebration of life with immediate family.
