Obituary

Rollen Brejcha - May 24, 1933 - June 21, 2023 - 90 years of age lived in Cleveland GA for 23 years and was born in Western NE.

Rollen grew up on a family farm in a town called Western Nebraska and had four siblings - brother, Alfred; sister, Mary Ann; sister, Erma Jean..  He graduated from high school in 1951 with 9 graduating seniors and then joined the Marine Corps in 1952.  In 1959, he moved to Denver, Colorado where he helped design missile silos.

Then, in 1962 Rollen purchased his second Corvette and met Delladee, his future wife in Minneapolis, where he received nose surgery to repair a childhood injury.  On January 5, 1963, Rollen and Delladee were married in San Francisco and their son, Bart was born in September 1964.  The family moved to Marietta GA in 1966 where Rollen worked with a team to develop wing components of the C5 Aircraft at McDonald Douglas Company.

In 1967,  Rollen bought his first motorcycle, a 1967 BSA Lightning Bandito, and gave his son, Bart, a Briggs & Stratton for Christmas that year. The two had many adventures racing over the years.  Rollen had made sure to obtain new motocross motorcycles for competition complete with dune buggies, archery, and rifles for racing and competitions. By 1981, both Rollen and Bart had been racing motocross for over 10 years. Rollen’s first race was 1967 and raced all he way to 1991.  Rollen at 80 years old rode motocross on multiple tracks where he even double jumped his 1983 YZ250 the entire day of riding. And, he even considered racing again.

Another important part of Rollen's life began in 1977 when both Rollen and his son joined the Boy Scouts.  Rollen became the Scoutmaster of Troop 564 who enjoyed teaching the scouts about camping, hiking, rowing, and rifle safety.   In his later years, Rollen enjoyed planting any number and varieties of various trees, a family legacy Bart has adopted.

As you can imagine, Rollen and Bart were best friends and created many wonderful memories throughout his long life. Rollen will be greatly missed by his son, Bart Brejcha, his daughter-in-law, Sondra Ellingson, and two grandchildren Illyria Brejcha and Illyria Brejchová.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
