Obituary
Steven Earl Major, 68 of Cleveland, GA lost his four-week battle with breakthrough Covid-19 on September 24, 2021 in Gainesville, near his home in Cleveland, GA.
A native of Bogalusa, LA, Steve worked at the The Bogalusa Daily News and The St. Tammany News-Banner in Covington before moving to Georgia in 1990. He was retired for the past three years after working in various fields in Georgia.
He is survived by his wife Renee David Major, originally from Covington, LA; sons Justin (Opelousas, LA), Brandon (Cleveland, GA), and daughter Angelle (Alto, GA); and grandchildren Hannah, Austin, Lauren, Jacob, Aaron and Sophie, all of Georgia; brothers Lou Major Jr. (Diana) and Jason Major (Deanna), both of Slidell, and numerous necessary, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lou and Peggy Major, and his sister, Christie Major Hall.
Steven will be remembered at a family gathering in Slidell at a future date.
